About Me

I was born in Plain, Wisconsin, a small community west of Madison.  After graduating from River Valley High School in Spring Green – a community well known for Frank Lloyd Wright and the American Players Theater – I continued my postsecondary education enrolling at MATC-Madison; now Madison College; completing an Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration Marketing-Fashion Merchandising.

From MATC, I transferred UW-Stout where I completed my bachelor’s degree. After earning my bachelor’s degree, I continued my educational endeavors at UW-Madison receiving both my Doctor of Philosophy degree in Continuing and Vocational Education with a minor in Educational Administration, and a Master of Science degree in Continuing and Vocational Education.

Prior to receiving my position of Moraine Park President, I served as Vice President of Instruction at Rockingham Community College in Wentworth, North Carolina, where I was responsible for all academic and continuing education programs, distance learning, and served as the College’s accreditation liaison.

From 2004-2007, I was the Vice President of Instruction at Clatsop Community College in Astoria, Oregon. Prior to accepting that vice presidency position, I served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Work, Community and Family Education at the University of Minnesota. Before coming to Moraine Park, my experience with the Wisconsin Technical College System included Dean of Business at Western Wisconsin Technical College in La Crosse, Dean of Business and Marketing at Southwest Wisconsin Technical College in Fennimore, and instructor at Madison Area Technical College in Madison. I also have experience in secondary education teaching at Oregon High School in Oregon, Wisconsin.
